Hyma Plastic was established in the year 1975 for production of PE Film used in production of heavy duty bags with a capacity of 1800 ton/year using the best European machiner
1979 Hyma increased its production to 4500 ton/year
1989 The First Agriculture PE Film with a web width of 14 meter used in Greenhouses and low tunnels was introduced in the Egyptian Market by Hyma Plastic with the biggest line in Middle East and North Africa with a capacity o 6000 ton/year.
1995 Hyma was the first company in Egypt and middle east to produce the HDPE lining film of 4 meter width and up to 5 mm thickness, this sheets are used in the insulation of canals, water basin and landfills, the yearly production of this line was 6000 metric ton/ year, by this line the yearly production capacity of Hyma exceeded 17000 metric ton/year.
2000 Two lines for the production of heavy duty bags and one big line for the production of Heavy duty bags and another line of agriculture film.
2001 another two line from The famous German Machine manufacturer Reifenhauser were Bought by Hyma in order to increase the production capacity of the company to 20000 metric ton.

2006 Hyma started the Flexible Packaging business by producing printed and unprinted multilayer film for the use in Food & flexible Packaging.
2007 the yearly production of Hyma became 35000 metric ton/year which make Hyma one of the biggest companies in Africa and Middle east for producing PE film products.
2008 Hyma added new blown film extrusion line from the biggest supplier of Agriculture blown film machine to produce three layer agriculture film up to 18 meter film width and 7 meter geo membrane sheet with a max thickness of 2.5 mm
2009 a new extrusion line from the famous manufacturer Windmoller and holscher with the biggest width in middle east and Africa of 2600 mm for the production of lamination film and roto printing PE/PP film with a total capacity of 6000 ton/year.
By the end of year 2009 the Total production capacity of Hyma Plastic Hyma Foam company exceeded 42000 ton/year.
